Here at Briq, we’re adamant that Briq isn’t just any technology. It’s an intelligent platform for construction companies to run their business. To do that, we’ve made Briq as customizable as possible to suit the needs of virtually any construction company. However, we don’t just hand over a blank canvas and expect businesses to figure it out. We have a detailed, collaborative implementation process focused on building the best iteration of Briq for your business. By the end of the process, we’re confident that you’ll have a financial automation platform that fits your business like a glove.

For those who are interested in the Briq platform or simply want to be informed on the process, we’ll be detailing the Briq implementation process in this article. We’ll go over each stage of implementation, what each stage entails, and the general time frame for completing each step. While every business will be a little different, this will provide a general idea of what to expect once you get Briq and help teams hit the ground running. With that said, let’s dive right into the roadmap for how we make Briq the perfect platform for your business.

Initiation

The first stage of the implementation process is initiation. This is when we pass off the conversation from our sales team to our implementation managers. These industry veterans will work with you to understand your business so that we can deliver the best solutions and go live within 150 days. We’ll set clear deliverables to achieve within that time frame and align expectations with your business. This stage establishes the foundation of what your iteration of Briq will look like and what custom tools and automation it will include. This stage takes about four weeks and sets up the path ahead for your business.

Connect

The second stage of the process is connection. Our team will work with your business to gain access to the systems, data points, and processes that we’ll need. Whether it’s your CRM, ERP, or simply copies of the workbooks used for your forecasts, we’ll work with you to acquire all the access and data points that are needed for the platform. This stage takes about two weeks overall. It’s apt to think of it as taking a clear inventory of your materials and tools before starting a project. It sets our team up for a smooth process as we work to build the platform all of your systems and processes will sit on.

Design/Build

The third stage of the implementation process is to design and build the platform. This is the longest stage and it’s when a significant amount of the work will be done. The Briq team designs the version of the Briq platform that will be used by your business. Based on your desired specifications and requests, we create things such as custom forecasts, workflows, unique dashboards, AP automation, and more. All of our Briq tools come together into the custom platform for your business. Once we’ve designed it and gained approval, we’ll then build it out. This process takes about 13 weeks overall. We’ll demonstrate the product towards the end of this stage to ensure that it’s working as planned. Briq’s internal iteration, testing, and completion of the end product all sit at this stage of the process. Once it’s all been wrapped up, we can then transition to the Accept stage.

Accept

The fourth stage of the implementation process is to get client acceptance. Our team will do the final user acceptance training to ensure that the platform is working as needed. This stage isn’t just about whether or not the platform functions. It’s about the user experience, and whether or not everything is how you want it to be for the most optimal use possible. Once those finishing touches are completed, we’ll begin training the initial users on how to use the platform. This process gives essential personnel the information and tools they’ll need to train their staff, and fully integrate Briq into the business. This stage takes about 4–5 weeks and acts as the bedrock of the roll-out process for your company.

Deploy

The fifth stage of the implementation process is to deploy Briq. This is the shortest stage of the implementation process and is exactly what it sounds like. Briq gets rolled out to your business for open use and integrated into your process. This stage typically marks the end of the 150-day implementation process. It’s also referred to as the “go live” step. The deployment stage typically lasts about one week and brings all users online to the platform.

Transition

The sixth and final stage of the implementation process is transitioning from implementation to support. For the first thirty days after deployment, the implementation team will be available to help with any issues that may arise. Any alterations, fine-tuning, or adjustments that need to be made after widespread use can be done during this stage. It’s essentially a grace period to keep an eye on things and make sure it’s all running smoothly. This stage lasts four weeks, and once it’s complete, the implementation team will no longer be the primary point of contact for Briq inquiries. But don’t worry, Briq is always here and ready to support your business. Our support team of engineers will be on standby to help answer questions and respond to any concerns you may have down the line.

Briq: A platform and a partnership

The Briq implementation process is designed to help your business get the most out of the platform as quickly as possible. It also emphasizes one of our most important philosophies here at Briq: partnership. We’re here to help construction companies run better businesses and are committed to connecting with them throughout that process. It's an ongoing collaboration that extends beyond this roadmap.

The initial implementation isn’t the end of the story either. Our clients will often seek to automate and bring more of their business processes onto the platform as they grow familiar with us. Some even feel they’ve only begun to scratch the surface of what Briq can do for their business.

Now that you’re up to speed on the Briq implementation process, we recommend speaking with our experts if you haven’t already. They’ll be able to answer any questions you may have about the process as well as discuss how Briq can address the unique needs of your business.
